Private Tour of the Brown Collection
1 Bentinck Mews London W1U 2 AF
On 7th October at 11.30 am
The Brown Collection is a gallery in Marylebone founded by British contemporary artist Glenn Brown. The Gallery is in a renovated 1905 mews warehouse and has four floors of exhibition space, served by a lift.
This is a permanent place in London to show both Glenn Brown’s own works and his collection of works by other artists predominantly Old Masters but also important 20th and 21st Century artists. A really eclectic collection.
We will be taken on a guided tour of the gallery and see the current exhibition “Fail we may, sail we must”. Spanning four galleries, the exhibition brings together paintings, sculpture, drawings, prints and ceramics by artists including Glenn Brown, Salvador Dalí, George Condo, Anthony Caro, Rebecca Warren, John Stezaker and Fiona Rae.
This is a unique gallery and quite unlike any of our usual visits. TASHH will be making a contribution to the Brown Collection for their educational outreach programme.
The tour will be at 11.30 am at the Galleryand I am looking into lunch options for afterwards. More information to follow.
The cost is £30.00 (£35.00 for non-members).
